Himalayan Rug Industries is a distinguished manufacturer and exporter of premium handwoven Tibetan rugs. Based in Maijubahal Marg, Chabahil, Kathmandu, we operate a fully integrated facility housing our office, factory, and showroom.

The Art of Creation
Our Meticulous 9-Step Process
1. Wool Sorting & Washing
High-quality Tibetan wool is carefully sorted to remove impurities, then washed and rinsed for 2-3 days for softness.
2. Carding
The wool is hand-carded to align fibers and prepare them for spinning.
3. Spinning
Skilled artisans spin the wool into fine yarn using traditional techniques, ensuring the right thickness and strength.
4. Dyeing
Yarn is dyed using natural vegetable or AZO-free dyes. Boiling allows deep penetration for lasting vibrant colors.
5. Weaving
The heart of the process. Artisans weave by hand on wooden frames, following intricate design graphs with precision.
6. Finishing Touches
Trimming edges, smoothing surfaces, and detailing patterns for a polished look.
7. Final Washing
Washed in a special solution to remove residue and enhance shine, then sun-dried.
8. Stretching
Restoring original dimensions to ensure the rug is smooth, flat, and crease-free.
9. Packing
Carefully packed using environmentally friendly materials, ready for export to Germany, USA, and beyond.
